Psst! I’ve got a boyfriend

photo 1 photo 2Dear Hope,

Mum thinks I’ve got a boyfriend.

I call him Rafe. Yes, he’s a boy and yes he’s my friend. But I call him Rafe.

No separation

Dear Hope,

Apparently Rumi said:

Goodbyes are only for those
who love with their eyes
Because for those who love with
heart and soul,
there is no separation.

This is my answer.

Ananda Mae quote

31 Months

♥ ♥ ♥

♥ ♥ ♥

Dear Hope,

Tomorrow we have been born together 31 months ago. I can’t even count that far. I can count to two and a half so Mummy said it’s just a bit more than two and a half.
Ok, so we were born together two and half and a bit years ago. 🙂

I remember how that morning, Mummy, Daddy and aunt Michele drove in the car and were singing “Happy Birthday to Hope & Passion”.
I remember how that morning Mummy took a shower and I heard and felt the water as it rushed down Mummy’s tummy.

What do you remember?

I also remember that Mummy and Daddy where talking quietly with each other and I heard other people talking in the background.

And then I heard SUE, Dr SUE – my all time favorite doctor and the first hands that ever touched my body. She was sooooooooooooo lovely. I went out of Mummy’s tummy head first with stretched arms into the light (hospital surgery big lamp). Then I couldn’t feel you anymore next to me… for many hours…

I heard later you came out feet first.

Even though I didn’t feel you anymore next to me, I do know that you are always right here with me in spirit. 🙂

Gotta L O V E Apple(s)

L O V E apple...

L O V E apple…

Dear Hope,

Mum loves this one, she even posted it on Facebook:

Another REALLY GOOD ONE from Ananda Mae ❤ 🙂
AM was in the Zurich Apple Store a few weeks ago asking: “But where are the apples Daddy?”
Then, today, they walked past ‘Apple Tree’ – a play group kind of thing for English/German speakers.
Chris: “Do you remember The Apple Tree?”
AM (not sure): “… I liked the other Apple store better…”
Hm… yes… she’s already got an (old) iPhone and and (old) iPad she calls her own…

Little pink riding hood...

Little pink riding hood…

Well of course I’ve got an iPhone and an iPad – just like Mum & Dad!

Dear Hope,

Why can the ducks swim but I can’t yet according to Mum…

Ananda Mae: ‘I want to go swimming in the lake.’
Mum: ‘It’s still too cold in the lake.’
Ananda Mae: ‘But the ducks swim in the lake!’
Mum: ‘It’s because they have a warm fur.’ …she meant feders…
Ananda Mae: ‘I’ve got a warm fur too!’ … all while pointing at my all-weather pants.

So you tell me, Hope: Shall I go swimming in my all-weather pants?

PS. I went to the indoor swimming pool today, so Mum got some points…

Hello - it's me!

Hello – it’s me!

Dear Hope,

I get Mummy and Daddy laughing:

Mummy: ‘Are you a “Spiegeläffli”?’ (=little mirror monkey, affectionate name my mummy was called by her parents because she loved looking in the mirror as a child just like ME!)

Ananda Mae: ‘No.’ Mummy: ‘So what are you?’

Ananda Mae: ‘En Loi’ (=a lion) It all depends on who you think you are, right?

I Want A Pony!

Daddy, please!

Dear Hope,

“Daddy, I want a pony” and he started laughing out loud. And I started crying.

Here’s how the story went:
The other day I had asked Daddy the whole day: “Can I watch Kikaninchen?” “Please Daddy, I want to watch Kikaninchen!” or “Daddy, what’s the clock saying? Kikaninchen time?” until he finally agreed. (PS. Kikaninchen is my current favorite show on YouTube with a rabbit and Christian)

In the evening Daddy told Mummy that he had to allow me to watch Kikaninchen because I asked the whole day. [I know, my charm works on Daddy 🙂 ]

Kikaninchen & Christian

Kikaninchen & Christian

Mummy asked Daddy: “So, when Ananda Mae is twenty you will buy her a Porsche if she asks you often enough?”
Daddy answered: “Yeah sure, if only she does not ask me for a pony!”

Mummy had also just brought home a CD with a Swiss version of “My Bonnie is over the ocean” which they have transformed to “Mis Pony isch geschter devo grännt” (=my pony ran away yesterday) and after listening to this song I said: “Mummy, I want a pony!” Mummy responded: “Why don’t you ask Daddy?” and that’s what I did… So do you think I will get one?

Happy New Year Mimi And Amya

Dear Hope,

Today I’m painting with Mimi’s pencils and in one of Mimi’s sketching notepad. I’m sure she was smiling down at me as I waved and shouted: “Happy New Year Mimi!”

Recently I keep our parents happy with the ‘antics’ and funny things I say. Here are some examples:

  • Hello Mummy, all ok? Have you slept well?
(when she picks me up from my midday sleep)
  • Mummy come later
(works to keep me grounded when she is out of sight)
  • For sure not!
(works for anything they want and I don’t)
  • Loading, loading, loading…
(when things take too long… I’ve learned that from the iPhone)
  • Super, Mummy!
(when she confidently stacks some lego…)
