Heute schreibe ich, Ananda Mae Young, dir zum ersten Mal alleine auf der Tastatur! Denn ich kann Schreiben.

Ich gehe in die 2. Klasse.

Ich liebe dich AMYA!

I miss you terribly…

IMG_4020.JPG
Dear Hope,

I haven’t written in a while… I’m sorry.

The truth is: I have been missing your terribly and writing to you seemed to hard…

Just last night, I wanted Daddy to re-read the story about Sam & Finn and even before he started, I had a big cry because I want you to be here with me.

Last week we went to a Christmas tram ride where the angels put us some wishing fairy dust onto our noses and said: “This will make your dreams come true.” Later in the evening I asked Mum: “So how can I make my wish come true? All I wish for is Amya to be here with me.”

I really don’t know why now but does it matter?

Does it matter, when I realised that you are not here with me?

I do now and I really do. I see those kids who have sisters or brothers and it makes me think of you, remember that I have a sister, one that was born on the same day as I was…

Why were you not able to stay with me?

PS. from my Mum: For those wondering, this is truly what’s happening and NOT Mum’s version of the story…

I’m hot.

Dear Hope,

I’ve become busy and haven’t written to you for a while. It doesn’t mean I don’t think of you. Often.

Just the other day, there was a butterfly on our balcony, sitting right there looking inside the glas window to where I sat. I knew it was you saying hello. Or at least that’s what I like to believe.

These days it’s been really hot summer days, so hot that I just said to Mummy: “I want to take my skin off.” She laughed…

Is it hot or cold up where you are?

Passion, Twinless Twin writing letters to her sister Hope

I’m in the Newspaper!

Dear Hope,

This week I’m in the newspaper here in Switzerland. And you too!
Mummy gave an interview about YOU and I! Can you believe it?
The picture with ME, Mummy and Daddy is first but your name is in the first sentence.

I think they choose a really good picture with my hand right in Daddy’s face – don’t you think?

I’m glad they wrote about us – so often people just forget you because I’m so cute… and as much as it’s nice to be cute, I would rather have a sister to play with every day.

Do you have any siblings?

www.nathaliehimmelrich.comDear Hope,

The other day, Tom’s mummy asked me: “Do you have any older siblings?”
I said: “Yes.”
She: “A sister or brother?”
Me: “My sister Amya.”
She: “Is she your older sister.”
I didn’t know what to say so Mummy, who up to then was very interested in what I had to say, answered for me: “It’s her younger twin sister who died on the 3rd day.”
Tom’s mummy didn’t ask any more questions.

Look Mummy! I can draw…

Can you see it?

Can you see it?

Dear Hope,

The other day I walked up to Mummy and showed her my painting.
Before she could ask me ‘What is it?’ I said:
“This is a ball in front of a sandpit. You can see just my legs and shoes on the side here.”
She said: “And what’s this here, in the middle of the sandpit?”
“This is a shovel.”

I looked at mum and her jaw has dropped.
What? Is it that hard to see?

You – Amya

Letters to Hope

Bodo Bär on the farm

Dear Hope,

Tonight, before going to bed, Mummy and I looked at one of my favourite books “Bodo Bear”.
On the picture we looked at Mummy asked me: “Where are the marmots?”
I pointed them out and there we were: “Here is Amya, this is Ananda Mae and this is Mummy marmot.”
You are with me. Everywhere. Even symbolically as a marmot sister.

The same here in this picture – see, you and me in the basket.

Daddy, do you want to dance?

photoDear Hope,

Today I asked Daddy: “Do you want to dance?” and he did! Mummy sung “Raindrops are falling on my head…” and Daddy and me danced around. Have a look here:
http://youtu.be/NenbhtogsTY
(The photo is when I hear Mummy sing the song… the video is me and Daddy dancing but hey, it’s Mummy’ unedited version…)
Can you please tell her the proper words to the song?

PS. I’ve given Mum and Dad 2 more fun moments this morning already, before 8.30am! They giggled… it’s nice to see them happy.
